This initiative aligns with current industry trends, as smart technology and data analytics are revolutionising resource management across various sectors. The ability to collect and analyse data through IoT is key to improving operational efficiencies in industries from waste management to smart cities. MCKL\u2019s project not only exposes students to these emerging technologies but also provides them with practical skills they can apply in the workforce. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The system collects anonymised data to analyse waste generation patterns across campus. This data is used to identify high-waste areas, enabling targeted solutions like adding more bins, increasing bin sizes, or scheduling more frequent cleaning. This application of technology benefits not only resource management but also the campus environment, making it a win-win solution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n
For students, this project was more than just an assignment. It was an opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge to create practical solutions for real-world problems.
