These awards, including the coveted \u2018Top in the World\u2019, \u2018Top in Country\u2019, \u2018Best Across\u2019, and \u2018High Achievement\u2019, celebrates and acknowledges the success of high-performing Cambridge learners.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1333\" src=\"https:\/\/mckl.edu.my\/pykett\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/11\/Cheng-Xiao-Thung-middle-and-Seah-Ping-Loo-R-alongside-Cambridge-A-Level-Programme-Leader-from-MCKL-College-Penang-Pykett-Campus-Dr-Lim-Chien-Sheng-L.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10942\" style=\"width:725px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>Cheng Xiao Thung (middle) and Seah Ping Loo (R) alongside Cambridge A-Level Programme Leader from MCKL College (Penang, Pykett Campus), Dr Lim Chien Sheng (L)<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>MCKL has been committed to the nurturing over 174 high achievers since 2013, and this legacy was reaffirmed with the consecutive accolades of \u2018Top in the World\u2019 and \u2018Top in Malaysia\u2019 attained by its students. This year\u2019s OCLA witnessed the presentation of two awards providing further testament to the college\u2019s unwavering dedication to academic excellence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The focus for this round of OCLA was on Penang Campus. Since its inception in 2022, the Penang campus has steadily built a strong record of academic excellence. In just three years, the campus has already produced five Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards recipients, underscoring MCKL\u2019s continued commitment to nurturing high-achieving students across all its campuses.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1333\" src=\"https:\/\/mckl.edu.my\/pykett\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/11\/Cheng-Xiao-Thung-L-and-Seah-Ping-Loon-R-during-the-OCLA-Ceremony.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10941\" style=\"width:725px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>Cheng Xiao Thung (L) and Seah Ping Loon (R) during the OCLA Ceremony<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Among the distinguished recipients was Cheng Xiao Thung, a standout student recipient of the MCKL Merit Scholarship. Cheng Xiao Thung achieved Top in the World for AS Level for Psychology.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI chose MCKL College (Penang, Pykett Campus) because the programme has a strong reputation for producing high achieving scholars and maintaining a high academic standard. The environment felt very focused, aligning with the way I study. I believe it was one of the main reasons for my high achievement. Another key reason was my psychology lecturer who shaped my experience and deepened my passion for the subject, which made the classes both motivating and memorable.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another outstanding achiever, Seah Ping Loon, earned the <em>Top in Malaysia<\/em> award for AS Level Physics. Reflecting on his journey, he expressed deep gratitude to his Physics lecturer, whose dedication and encouragement played a pivotal role in helping him reach this milestone. Inspired by his passion for the sciences, Ping Loon plans to further his studies in Chemical Engineering at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) in the coming years.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1333\" src=\"https:\/\/mckl.edu.my\/pykett\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/11\/The-award-winners-alongside-their-family-members-and-Dr-Lim.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10943\" style=\"width:725px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>The award winners alongside their family members and Dr Lim<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>In total, MCKL celebrates six Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards winners for 2025, a remarkable achievement that reflects the college\u2019s enduring pursuit of academic excellence. These recognitions not only highlight the dedication and resilience of its learners but also reaffirm MCKL\u2019s commitment to cultivating an environment where students can thrive.
