In conjunction with World Social Work Day celebrated annually on 15th March, the Diploma in Social Work Faculty at MCKL hosted the annual MCKL Social Work Hi Tea last Saturday 19th March, to commemorate this occasion. MCKL is the leading pioneer to promote the Diploma in Social Work programme and uphold the crucial role of the industry in Malaysia.
Attended by over 30 social workers and MCKL students from various NGO’s and social work organisation, they learned about MCKL’s comprehensive Diploma in Social Work programme while having the opportunity to network among the social work community, being able to share their experience, challenges, and solutions with one another.
Speaking at the event was Mr Teoh Ai Hua, senior lecturer from University Utara Malaysia (UUM) who shared about the importance of qualified social workers in the country, while Ms Jolyn Hong, Head of Diploma in Social Work shared on the programme details and framework for social workers keen to equip themselves with the right skills.
