Principal, MCKL College (Penang, Pykett Campus) cum Academic DeanWelcome to MCKL College (Penang, Pykett Campus) – the inaugural branch campus of Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL).
For over 40 years, Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL) has been providing quality, holistic education in the best of the Methodist tradition. In 2022, we decided to expand our footprint to Penang – in service to the northern community and beyond, by reflecting the exact quality education that our KL campus is founded on.
Located on a 4-acre site at the former Pykett Methodist Primary School, Lebuhraya Pykett, Georgetown, our campus features full-fledged modern college amenities for higher education within the grounds of a 130-year-old pre-war gem that has been carefully restored and upgraded.
The Pykett Campus is established to further the mission of MCKL to nurture a community where excellence in all its forms is celebrated. We believe this campus will provide greater higher education opportunities and alternative pathways for secondary school leavers and adult learners in Penang and the northern region that is in line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0)
MCKL continues to place great emphasis on developing knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are embedded in our curriculum. As students journey with MCKL, they build up discipline knowledge of their choice. In addition, students develop life and career skills while they sharpen their critical thinking, innovation, and digital skills through the academic rigour placed on them. Finally, moulding students into progressive individuals with the traits of a life-long learner and to serve society in general.
