Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL) is looking for a Laboratory Technician who is passionate about science and education and enjoys supporting students and academic staff in a dynamic laboratory environment.
This position will be based at our main campus in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.
What you will be doing:
- Prepare and maintain science laboratories (Biology, Chemistry & Physics), apparatus, and resources to enable effective delivery of practical classes, examinations, and workshops.
- Ensure laboratories operate safely in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
- Manage inventory, storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals, consumables, and equipment to ensure resources are available and properly maintained.
- Provide technical and operational support to lecturers and students during practical sessions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory safety, organisation, and best practices.
Who are we looking for?
- Diploma or Degree holder in Chemistry or a relevant Science field.
- Prior experience in an educational setting laboratory is an added advantage.
- Attention to detail.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and lab best practices
- Work with equipment and instruments relevant to the lab, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
