As the world elevates to the era of Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR4.0), it has created a great demand for talents in the Computer Science (CS) and related industries.
This programme is designed to equip students with broad-based knowledge and future-oriented skills, such as Data Science, Cloud Computing and Machine Learning. These Tech Disruptive Skills are highly sought after by the industry.
Upon completion of this programme, students can join the workforce, become technopreneurs or further their studies at our partner universities in any field of specialisation, such as Software Engineering and Data Science.

Specialise in Data Science
What is Data Science and why study it? Data science is an interdisciplinary study of computer science, mathematics and statistics. This specialisation provides students with the skills to be able to manipulate vast amounts of data, make sense of complex metrics and interpret them into insights to help turn data into business assets for decision making. The application areas for data science are very broad, ranging from business to healthcare, security, logistics and energy.
Compulsory Industrial
Taking on a 12-week industrial training in the final semester provides students with real-life working experience and a seamless transition to employment. MCKL is currently partnered with a range of industry-leading organisations to provide students with the best learning opportunities.
Future-oriented Curriculum
Our programme ensures that students are future-proof for the workforce by equipping them with industry relevant and in-demand skills. Get exposure to Big Data Architecture, Cloud Computing and Machine Learning.
Entrepreneurship Driven
In this era of technological advancement, a new form of entrepreneurship has emerged where the usage of technology is essential in converting ideas into innovative businesses. Build a solid foundation as a Technopreneur through the study of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Digital Business at MCKL.
Industry Certification
Digital transformation has evolved the workplace to be technology reliant, and in today’s competitive environment, companies highly value digital skills. At MCKL, students can obtain International Certification of Digital Literacy (ICDL) for various IR 4.0 skills set throughout the programme. This certification will enable students to showcase their digital literacy and technical skills to future employers.
Students who graduate from MCKL’s digital programmes can also be certified by the AWS Academy as a Cloud Practitioner. This certification helps prospective employers identify talents who possess critical knowledge related to implementing cloud initiatives and foundational AWS knowledge. Graduating with these industry certifications will set students apart from peers in the competitive workforce, alongside their Computer Science diploma.
Integrated Professional Certification
SAS, a worldwide leader in analytics software, provides students access to valuable resources and further develop skills for a competitive advantage in the job market. Students will be awarded the SAS Academic Specialization upon completion of this programme. This certification can be added onto career platforms such as the student’s CV, LinkedIn, and Facebook to validate the student’s experience and expertise in using SAS software.

MCKL established a series of subjects that different programmes need to implement for all students to meet the Ministry’s requirements.
