German Educare was founded by a group of Malaysians who had studied and lived in Germany for several years. While Germany isn’t usually the first country that comes to mind when students are considering studying overseas, we quickly learnt that people aren’t generally aware that it is a more affordable option compared to other countries, and costs about the same as studying in a local campus of a foreign university in Malaysia.

We have always been advocates of studying in Germany, but we also knew that the process isn’t as easy and straightforward as it seemed – so when our friends and extended family members asked for our help with their applications, we jumped at the opportunity. That’s when we realised that we also wanted to help other Malaysian students experience what we had the opportunity to enjoy – seamlessly.

Why German Educare

Students are required to enrol a minimum of 3 subjects and a maximum of 4 subjects.

NOTE:

3. Student’s progress in German language proficiency will be monitored throughout the programme.

Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) or Malaysian Government will be considered on a case-by-case basis 

PREREQUISITE

• Credit in respective Science subject is required for Biology, Chemistry and Physics
• Credit in Additional Mathematics is required for Mathematics and Computer Science
• Further Mathematics must be enrolled with Mathematics

1. What is the average class size?
   Class size is capped at 32 students for most subjects. Math classes are capped at 38 whereas German language class has an average of 10 students. 

2. How does my class timetable look like?
   For most A Level subjects, the earliest class starts at 8am and the latest class will end at 5pm. 

3. When is the deadline to apply?
   There is no deadline to apply. Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. Students are encouraged to apply early as there is a quota for every subject and students are not allowed to take that subject if it is full.

4. What is the requirement for the programme? Any additional requirement?
   Minimum 5 credits overall in SPM, IGCSE, or equivalent. Certain subjects have additional prerequisites. Please refer to our marketing staff to find out more. 

5. How many subjects should I take?
   For the German pathway, students have to take a total of 4 subjects, in which German language and Mathematics are compulsory subjects.

6. How many hours of classes per week for German language class?
   Students have 6 hours of face-to-face classes and additional hours of online self-pace learning. 

7. Can I mix Arts and Sciences subjects?
   Yes, students can mix arts and sciences subjects, subject to availability. You may refer to our subject combination listed in the ‘subjects offered’ tab. 

8. Is there any compulsory subjects to be taken in MCKL?
   All students are required to take three compulsory subjects in MCKL, which are Service Learning, Character Formation and Digital and Information Literacy. These subjects run for only one semester.

9. Do I need to study MPU subjects?
   No. MPU subjects are not required for a Pre-U programme.

10. Must I go to Germany after completing German Pathway A Level in MCKL?
    No, going to Germany is not compulsory. Students can still apply to other countries as usual.
