Once again, we did it again! Our students from the Cambridge A Level (CAL) programme have obtained wonderful achievements in the Cambridge International November 2020 examination series.
Twelve (12) students from Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL) have received the prestigious awards from Cambridge Assessment International Education, part of the University of Cambridge, to acknowledge their outstanding examination performance. The Outstanding Cambridge Leaner Awards celebrates students who has shown exemplary achievement in Cambridge International exams which are taken by students in over 160 countries around the world.
Among the twelve (12) students that received the awards, seven (7) of them have placed Malaysia on the global academic map by receiving the ‘Top in the World’ Award in the internationally recognised Outstanding Cambridge Leaner Awards.
Eng Wai Lam Simpson stood at first place and was crowned with the ‘Best Across Three Award’ for his exceptional performance as ‘Top in the World’ in the subjects of Further Mathematics & Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry respectively, by Cambridge Assessment International Education.
Meanwhile, the other six (6) Top in the World Award recipients from MCKL are Saranya Anandraj (Law), Adrianna Eva Alfred Tais (Literature in English), Liew Xiao Theng (Psychology), Alvin Chan Zheng Jing (Mathematics), Chan Junwin (Mathematics), and Lum Ting Fang (Mathematics).
Three (3) students; Lee Jia Cherng (Chemistry), Kim Byungjoo (Further Mathematics), and Tan Mei Yee (Psychology) received the Top in Malaysia Award for the respective subjects mentioned while Aviinash A/L Ravikumar received the High Achievement Award for Tamil Language and Ryan Nicholas Tay received the same award in Computer Science. The ‘High Achievement’ is awarded to learners who have achieved the highest standard marks in the Country in a particular subject which are not so widely taken.
