Admin Executive (Hostel & Campus Management)


MCKL Penang (Pykett Campus) is seeking for a committed person who is ready to take charge of the hostel’s day-to-day operational needs on campus. This role functions like the “heart” of the campus, overseeing hostel operations, facilities maintenance, safety, administration, and supporting the overall student experience.

This position will be based at MCKL Penang, Pykett Campus.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process monthly utility bills, usage tracking, and cost calculations.
  • Manage administrative documentation including contracts, inventories, hostel records, and SOP files.
  • Oversee day-to-day hostel operations including check-ins, check-outs, room allocation, and facility upkeep.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for repairs, preventive maintenance, and project works.
  • Track weekly and monthly hostel occupancy, residents’ matters, disciplinary cases, and campus operational updates.
  • Support ISO-QMS documentation, updates, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in budget preparation, financial tracking, and data entry into the college’s finance system.
  • Provide operational support to general college functions and events when required.

Job Requirement:

  • Possess a minimum bachelor’s degree in any field of study.
  • Must be able to work from Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with flexibility to adjust working hours when required for hostel-related services.
  • Able to remain contactable for urgent or emergency matters outside normal working hours.
  • Required to have a valid Malaysian driving license.
  • Possess good computer literacy and the ability to manage administrative tasks effectively.
  • Able to communicate in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to gain transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, organisation, problem-solving and time management.
  • Detail-oriented, meticulous, analytical and good organisational and planning skills.
  • Possess good communication skills for oral and written in Malay and English.
