Cambridge IPQ Certification

- What is the average class size?
Class size is capped at 32 students for most subjects. Math classes are capped at 38.
- What is the timetable like?
The earliest class starts at 8am and the latest class will end at 5pm.
- When is the deadline to apply?
There is no deadline to apply. Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. Students are encouraged to apply early as there is a quota for every subject and students are not allowed to take that subject if it is full.
- What is the requirement for the programme? Any additional requirement?
Minimum 5 credits overall in SPM, IGCSE, or equivalent. Certain subjects have additional prerequisites. Please refer to our marketing staff to find out more.
- How many subjects should I take?
Students have to take 3 to 4 subjects. Further Mathematics can only be taken as the 4th subject.
- Can I mix Arts and Sciences subjects?
Yes, students can mix arts and sciences subjects, subject to availability. You may refer to our subject combination listed in the ‘subjects offered’ tab.
- Are there any compulsory subjects to be taken in MCKL?
All students are required to take two compulsory subjects in MCKL, which are Service Learning and Character Formation. These subjects run for only one semester.
- Do I need to study MPU subjects?
No. MPU subjects are not required for a Pre-U programme.
- Is A Level recognised by other countries?
A Level is recognised by many leading universities worldwide including the UK, Ireland, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, Singapore, Egypt, Jordan, South Africa, the Netherlands, Germany and Spain.
- Can I further my studies in a Local Public University after completing A Level?
Yes, MCKL A Level students have been admitted to some local public universities such as University of Malaya (UM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).
