We are seeking a Procurement and Insurance Executive to manage purchasing activities, build strong supplier relationships, and ensure cost-effective procurement processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the institution’s goals and budget.
- Oversee the procurement of academic and non-academic supplies while ensuring cost savings and efficiency.
- Manage supplier relationships, including supplier registration, background checks, contract management, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate the tender process, including evaluation, approval, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal audit requirements by maintaining accurate procurement records.
- Manage the SAGE procurement system, including purchase requisitions, invoicing, and supplier updates.
- Oversee insurance policies for staff, students, and institutional assets, including renewals and claims processing.
- Monitor budget allocations and virements to ensure adequate funding for procurement needs.
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (at least 4 to 5 years) in procurement, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Knowledge of tender processes, ISO compliance, and financial management.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAGE) is an advantage.
